Child Care & Protection
A safe home, loving caregivers and the daily routine every child needs. We protect children from neglect and exploitation and make sure each one is known, cared for and heard.
We work to create safer environments, stronger opportunities and brighter futures for vulnerable children.
Children of JOFIN Home, Jos, Plateau State
JOFIN — Jesus Only Friends International is a child-focused organisation based in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. For more than a decade we have provided a home, daily care and a path through school for children who have lost parents or are growing up without the support every child needs.
Across Nigeria, millions of children are orphaned or vulnerable. Many miss school, go without healthcare, or grow up without an adult to protect them. We work to change that one child at a time, with care that lasts from early childhood into adulthood.
Five connected areas of work that take a child from safety and stability to learning, good health and, in time, independence.

School fees, uniforms, books and steady support at home, so children stay in class and finish their education.

Regular nutritious meals, medical care when children fall ill, and the check-ups that keep them growing well.

Mentoring, vocational skills and confidence-building that prepare older children for work and independent life.
Outreach that reaches vulnerable children and families in their own neighbourhoods, from shoes and school supplies to food.
Every number here stands for children who are safer, healthier and still in school. We report our results openly to the donors and partners who make them possible.

Ten years ago, JOFIN began with a simple conviction: no child should have to grow up alone.
In August 2023, children, caregivers, volunteers and long-time friends of JOFIN gathered in Jos to mark ten years of faithfulness. Children sang, performed and spoke on stage in front of the people who have cared for them. It was a day about what becomes possible when a child is given safety, schooling and people who believe in them.

Through Project Foot a Child, JOFIN gave new shoes to children in the community who were going without.
